Coronavirus – it’s business as usual at Appearance Based Medicine!
There may not be a lot to celebrate right now – it’s a worrying time for us all and there is a huge amount of uncertainty out there at the moment. All I can tell you is that, as of today, I am still open for business. So, if you are looking to make sure you continue to look your best, at least for your loved ones, during this unprecedented time, why not book an appointment in the next few days before the inevitable increased isolation measures.
Safety measures
I appreciate that you may be concerned about infection risk, so let me outline the measures that I am taking in the clinic:
- The dental clinic, DentalCare, where Appearance Based Medicine is located, is CQC registered and follows infection control procedures associated with all medical treatments.
- There is alcohol hand wash as people arrive in reception and I am asking all patients to wash their hands with antibacterial soap when they arrive in my room.
- I use Clinisept+ which has been rigorously and independently tested and proven to be highly effective in killing all enveloped viruses, including Coronavirus, in under 15 seconds.
- I have always used cloves for treatment and am now also wearing a mask for close up work.
- If you are feeling unwell or if you have been in contact with anyone displaying symptoms, I ask that you don’t hesitate to reschedule your appointment until you are better.
- Staff who feel unwell will also stay at home, so I ask for your understanding if this causes any inconvenience to you.
- Appointments will be scheduled to minimise the number of patients in the waiting room and we ask that you avoid bringing friends and family along, unless absolutely necessary.
- Appointments via video call will be offered to new patients who would like to discuss treatment options and to existing patients that need advice or a review following treatment. Please contact the clinic here for further information.
- Most products used at the clinic are sterile and single use so you will be protected if you do proceed with treatment.
- We are constantly reviewing and following the advice from Government and NHS England and will keep everyone informed via our website and social media if the situation changes.
