Radiesse® Jawline Contouring

What exactly is Jawline Contouring?

Our skin loses both collagen and elastin with age. As these are both key to providing youthful support and definition to your overall facial structure, this can cause you to lose volume or definition in your jawline and chin. A Jawline Contouring treatment can replace volume and smooth the contours of your jawline.

How does Jawline Contouring work?

Filler is injected into your skin with a cannula (a blunt-tipped needle) to plump your skin and add volume and definition to your jawline.

What happens during Jawline Contouring?

All Dermal Filler injections are administered by Clare McLoughlin RGN INP [link to About us], our skilled and experienced Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber. The procedure usually takes around 45 minutes to complete. The results of a Dermal Filler treatment are instant and can last for up to 12 months.

How do I know if Jawline Contouring is safe and right for me?

At Appearance Based Medicine Ltd., Clare McLoughlin RGN INP will only carry out a Jawline Contouring treatment following a detailed one-to-one tele-consultation with you, which will enable her to accurately assess whether the treatment is appropriate given your unique medical history, skin condition and expectations.

At this point, if Clare feels that a treatment won’t give you the desired results, or is not required, she’ll tell you. During your consultation, you’ll be given detailed information about the procedure, potential side effects and any pre- and post-treatment advice. You’ll have plenty of time to decide whether or not, given the information you have received, you would like to proceed with any recommended procedure.

As with any injectable aesthetic treatment, there’s a small risk of a patient experiencing side effects post-treatment. Many patients experience minor bleeding at the injection site, often followed by temporary and minor swelling, bruising, redness and soreness. However, these symptoms are usually not serious and should resolve on their own. Clare McLoughlin RGN INP will ensure that you are given comprehensive advice and support post-treatment to ensure that your treatment is as safe and effective as possible.
