Radiesse Jawline Contouring

What exactly is this treatment?

As we age, our skin loses both collagen and elastin, key components that provide youthful support and definition to overall facial structure.  If you have lost volume or definition of your jawline and chin, a Radiesse Jawline Contouring Treatment can replace volume and smooth the contours of your jawline.

How do I know if this treatment is safe and right for me?

At Appearance Based Medicine Ltd., Clare McLoughlin RGN INP will only carry out a Radiesse Jawline Contouring treatment following a detailed one-to-one consultation with a patient, enabling her to accurately assess whether the treatment is appropriate given a patient’s unique medical history, skin condition and expectations.  If Clare feels that a treatment would not give the desired results, or is not required, you will be advised of this during your pre-treatment consultation.

During your consultation, you will be given comprehensive information about the procedure, potential side effects, and any pre- and post-treatment advice. You will also be given the time to decide whether or not, given the information you have received, you would like to proceed with any recommended procedure.

As with any injectable aesthetic treatment, there is a small risk of a patient experiencing side effects post-treatment with Dermal Fillers. Many patients experience minor bleeding at the injection site, often followed by temporary and minor swelling, bruising, redness and soreness of the treatment site. However, these symptoms are usually not serious and should resolve on their own. Clare McLoughlin RGN INP will ensure that you are given comprehensive advice and support post-treatment to ensure that your treatment is as safe and effective as possible.

How does this treatment work?

Radiesse is injected into the skin with a cannula to plump the skin and add volume and definition to specific areas of the face – in the case of this treatment specifically, the jawline.

What happens during the treatment?

All Dermal Filler Injections are administered by Clare McLoughlin RGN INP, our skilled and experienced Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber.  Injections are administered using a very fine, disposable needle, and the procedure usually takes around 45 minutes to complete.

The results from a Radiesse Dermal Filler treatment are instant and can last for up to 12 months.
